Setup and hold

Setup and hold. A flip-flop needs its data both late enough and early enough.

• Hold - the data must not arrive until the hold time after the launch edge, so the path cannot be too fast.
• Setup - the data must arrive before the next capture edge minus setup, so the path cannot be too slow.

Drag the data-path delay into the window where both hold slack and setup slack are non-negative, then Submit design.
