Device matching. Once LVS (Layout Versus Schematic) has matched the connectivity, it pairs each device in the layout with its device in the schematic and checks that the two agree. A pair can fail in several ways, and a device can also be present on only one side:
- match - same type and same size on both sides.
- wrong size - the width or the length differs (a mis-drawn transistor).
- wrong type - one side is NMOS and the other PMOS.
- missing - the schematic has the device but the layout does not.
- extra - the layout has a device the schematic does not.
Read each row's schematic and extracted specification, click the row to set its verdict, and get every device right. A device can match on connectivity yet still differ in size or type, so check the type and both dimensions. Then Submit verdicts.
