Clustered buffer tree. Real sinks are scattered, not on a neat grid, so a clock-tree tool places a tap buffer (a merge point) for each cluster and drives the taps from the root. Here you drag the taps.
- Skew under target - drag each tap buffer. Every sink is captured by its nearest tap, so moving a tap reshapes its cluster. Spread the taps so each one owns a compact group of nearby sinks (small tap-to-sink hops), and balance the root-to-tap arms so no cluster sits far while another sits close. Both together drive the skew down.
- Latency in budget - keep the longest path within budget.
Place and balance the taps, then Submit design.
